Memorial Day.

On Memorial Day, Karin, Kids and I made our first trip of the season to Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
This is one of my favorite places and I hadn't been for a while, as I am usually out of the country during the spring and summer.
Usually holidays are a good time to go as many people are busy with their own activities and the park is not so crowded....no so much this year.  We had a good time anyway.
When you have a pass you don't feel like you need to do everything in one day, so we just went with the flow and did what the kids wanted to do, had a delicious lunch played a bit more and when it got too crowded we moved on.

Measuring up before you go in.. Brenna was yellow bracelet this year...Declan blue. We assured him that he will catch up!

Lots of fun to be had in Sesame Street village!

then on to the Tea cups!! Brenna usually relies on Grammy to make it spin fast, but this time I didn't want to "undo" the work the doctor has been doing so I took it easy!

Lunch in a shady spot, and a bit of people watching for me while Kay and the kids rode things that I had no desire to ride!

A little mugging for the camera.

Then on to the sky lift to take us back to the tram and the car!

The view from the sky lift

and a little bit of Dragon Land!

This is an indicator of when it is time to go!  Too tired to move on!

So it is home we go!  Well sort of, after a trip to the shoe store and Coldstone Creamery, that is!  Yumm on both accounts!

A good day was had by all!!
